Which PDF types does this work with?
It works with digital (text-based) PDFs — documents created in Word, Excel, or any PDF printer. Text must be selectable in the original PDF.
Why does my scanned PDF produce no text?
Scanned PDFs are images — there is no text layer to extract. Use the OCR PDF tool first to create a searchable PDF, then extract text.
Is formatting like bold, columns, or tables preserved?
No — the output is plain text (.txt). Formatting, columns, and tables are flattened to raw characters. For structured output, try PDF to Word.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no server-side limit because processing happens entirely in your browser. Very large PDFs (100+ MB) may take a moment depending on your device.
Is my PDF sent to any server?
