CAMS vs KFintech — Which AMCs Are Where?
CAMS-registered AMCs
SBI MF, HDFC MF, ICICI Prudential MF, Mirae Asset, Axis MF, DSP MF, Franklin Templeton, Kotak MF, Sundaram MF, Tata MF, Invesco India, Mahindra Manulife, and others.
KFintech-registered AMCs
UTI MF, Nippon India MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, IDFC MF (now Bandhan MF), Canara Robeco, L&T MF (now HSBC MF), Edelweiss MF, Motilal Oswal MF, and others.
Both registrars use the same CAS password formula: PAN first 4 characters (uppercase) + DDMM of date of birth. If you get a statement from either, the same formula applies.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are mutual fund statements password-protected?
SEBI guidelines require AMCs and registrars to protect financial statements sent by email. The password prevents anyone other than the investor from reading their portfolio and transaction data. The password is always derived from information only the investor knows — typically their PAN number or date of birth.
What is the most common mutual fund statement PDF password?
For AMC direct statements (SBI MF, Nippon, ICICI Pru MF, DSP, Mirae Asset, UTI), the password is the full PAN number in uppercase — e.g., ABCDE1234F. For CAMS and KFintech consolidated statements (CAS), the password is the first 4 characters of PAN in uppercase + date of birth in DDMM format — e.g., ABCD0512 for PAN starting with ABCD and born on 5 December.
What is the difference between a direct AMC statement and a CAMS/KFintech CAS?
A direct AMC statement comes from a specific fund house (e.g., SBI MF) and only covers your holdings with that AMC. A CAS (Consolidated Account Statement) from CAMS or KFintech covers all your mutual fund investments across all AMCs registered with that particular registrar. CAMS covers funds like SBI MF, Mirae Asset, DSP. KFintech covers funds like UTI, Nippon India. The two registrars use the same password formula (PAN first 4 + DDMM of DOB) but serve different AMCs.
Can I get a single statement covering all my mutual funds?
Yes. CAMS sends a CAS covering all CAMS-registered AMCs. KFintech sends a CAS covering all KFintech-registered AMCs. NSDL and CDSL send demat account statements. For a truly consolidated view across all AMCs and both registrars, you can request a combined CAS through MF Central (mfcentral.com) or CAMS Online.
The PAN + DDMM password is not working for my CAMS statement — what should I try?
Check these: (1) PAN must be exactly the first 4 characters (uppercase letters), not the full PAN. (2) DDMM is the date followed by month number — for 5 December it is 0512, not 1205. (3) For a joint folio, the CAS uses the first holder's PAN and DOB. (4) If your CAMS statement is from myCAMS app, it may use a slightly different format — try the full PAN in uppercase as an alternative.
Where can I download my mutual fund account statement?
AMC direct: Log in to the specific AMC's investor portal. CAMS CAS: visit camsonline.com → Statements → Consolidated Account Statement. KFintech CAS: visit kfintech.com → Investor Services → Statement. MF Central: mfcentral.com. You can also receive emailed statements on demand from these portals.
